In their latest joint study, CRC1425 investigators Leonardo Sacconi and Peter Kohl and colleagues show that the T-tubular system in cardiomyocytes is able to generate action potentials autonomously, rather than simply following the depolarization of the outer cell surface sarcolemma.
Their study was recently published in The Journal of Physiology, and also features on the cover of this issue.
