Project Summary
This project explores cell type-specific subcellular functions of the histone acetyltransferase MOF in vivo. Muscle-specific ablation of MOF leads to cardiac failure, remodelling and fibrosis. P04 will use scRNA-seq to reveal the dynamics of cardiac remodelling, and to identify primary and secondary functions of MOF in the heterocellular heart. In vitro studies will identify the roles of MOF in cell differentiation and tissue fibrosis, and establish the chromatin binding landscape of MOF in normal and remodelled human myocardium.
